3X-Y=4 NOW MULTIPLY THE SECOND EQUATION BY -1 & ADD
-3X-2Y=17
--------------------------
-3X=21
X=21/-3
X=-7 ANSWER.
3(-7)-2Y=17
-21-2Y=17
-2Y=17+21
-2Y=38
Y=38/-2
Y=-19 ANSWER.
PROOF
3*-7-2*-19=17
-21+38=17
17=17
