The answer that I came up with was C=44x+270. C=cost
b)Write an equation to describe the cost for x number of rounds for your friend.
The answer that I came up with was C=52x.
c) How many rounds must you play to recover the cost of the clubs? (Find the break-even point).
The answer that I came up with was
x(52-44)=270
8x=270
x=33.75 or 34 rounds

This is correct. You gain $8 for every round you play, so it will take 34 rounds to pay for the clubs, and $2 more.
