Question 117306: The following equation can be used to find the area of a trapezoid. Solve for the variable b:
A=1/2h(B+b)
I can't seem to figure this one out. I know that B + b represent the lenght of the trapezoid and there are four possible solutions we were given:
B=2A/h
b=B(A-1/2h)
b=A-Bh
b=(2A/h)-B
It can't be the first one, because I am not looking for B, but for b.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Start with the given equation
Multiply both sides by 2
Divide both sides by h
Subtract B from both sides to isolate b
So our answer is
