Question 117031:
What is the slope, x-intercept, and y- intercept of 2x-3y+18=0?

Answer by checkley71(8403)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2X-3Y+18=0
-3Y=-2X-18
Y=-2X/-3-18/-3
Y=2X/3+6 THUS THE SLOPE=2/3 & THE Y INTERCEPT=(0,6)
NOW SET Y=0 & SOLVE FOR X
0=2X/3+6
2X/3=-6 CROSS MULTIPLY
2X=-18
X=-18/2
X=-9 OR THE X INTERCEPT=(-9,0)
(graph 300x200 pixels, x from -10 to 5, y from -10 to 10, y = 2x/3 +6).
