X=2Y-7 OR 2Y=X+7 OR Y=X/2+7/2 THE SLOPE=1/2 & THE Y INTERCEPT=7 (RED LINE)
Y=X/4+3 THE SLOPE=1/4 & THE Y INTERCEPT=3 (GREEN LINE)
(graph 300x200 pixels, x from -16 to 5, y from -10 to 10, of TWO functions y = x/2 +7/2 and y = x/4 +3).

Just a question, believe there is a typo in the final answer, answer makes sense to me y= 1/2 x + 7/2, but the conclusion states that the y intercept is 7. Should this not be 7/2

#1
Start with the given equation
Add 7 to both sides
Divide both sides by 2
So the equation in y form is
Let's use the general equation where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept
From , we can see that and
So the slope is and the y-intercept is
Notice if we graph we can see that the slope is and the y-intercept is . So this visually verifies our answer.
