Question 1162814: Used to given conditions to write an equation for the line and point slope form and general foreman passing through (6,-9) and perpendicular to the line whose equation is x-8y-5=0.
I understand point-slope form is : y-y1=m(x-x1)
And that the slope of a perpendicular line is the negative reciprocal
So my point slope form should look like: y-(-9)= -8(x-6) ?
Im just having trouble with the general form part of the equation
