Question 115893: Write the equation of the line with the given slope and y-intercept. Then graph each line using the slope and y-intercept. Slope; -3/4; y-intercept;(0,8).
What I have as an equation is this; y=-3/4x+8. Am I right so far? And how would I graph this please? Thank you for your help.
Much appreciated for your time,

Yes, you are right.
For graphing pick two points.
You already have one point, the intercept (0,8).
Mark that point on your graph paper.

Next pick any other point.
In your case x=4, makes for easy work.

Second point is (4,5).
Plot that on the graph.

Then take a straighedge and draw a line between those two points.

Extend the line to the limits of your graph and you're done.
