If you draw the terms of an AP by points in the number line, you will have 2p-p = p gaps of the equal lengths between the p-th and 2p-th terms.


Between the (p+1)-th term and the 1-st terms you have the same number "p" of the gaps.


Hence, the first term of the AP is equal to 56-50 = 6.    ANSWER
