Let E be the cost per unit of electricity and G be cost per unit of gas.


Then from condition, you have this system of two equations in two unknown


    600E + 100G = 394,      (1)

    400E + 150G = 286.      (2)


Solve it for G by using Elimination method or the Cramer's rule.
