         P(x) = R(x) - C(x) = 40x - (15x + 2200).



(b)  The break-even point is the solution of the equation


        R(x) = C(x),   or


        40x = 15x + 2200,

        40x - 15x = 2200

        25x       = 2200

          x       = 2200/25 = 88.      ANSWER
