Question 114040: How can you find the "x" and "y" intercepts in a graph?
Answer by checkley71(8403) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
THE X INTERCEPT IS WHERE THE LINE CROSSES THE X PLANE.
THE Y INTERCEPT IS WHERE THE LINE CROSSES THE Y PLANE.
EXAMPLE
Y=2X+5
(graph 300x200 pixels, x from -6 to 5, y from -10 to 10, y = 2x +5).
here we have a y intercept(0,5) & an x intercept (-2.5,0)
