Perpendicular to it is a horizontal line.


All horizontal lines have an equation of the form y = c,  where "c" is some constant term.


Since our horizontal line must go through the point (-5,5), the constant term "c" in the previous equation is 5: c= 5,


so the equation under the question is  y= 5.
