Answer by mathsolverplus(88) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Under the given conditions, the overlapping area is a quadrilateral with four
vertices: (0,0) (0,3) (3,6) and (6,0)
Substitute each into the C=-3x+5y to see which one gives the highest value.
If (0,0):
C=0
If (0,3):
C = 0 + 5(3) = 15
If (3,6):
C = -3(3)+5(6) = -9+30 = 21
If (6,0):
C = -3(6) + 5(0) = -18
Maximum occurs at C=21 when x = 3 and y = 6.
