d. For what number of magnets is the total charge exactly the same for both companies? Show algebraic work/explanation.

for c, one can look at the graph or just put 150 into both equations.
y(150 for A)=720+42=762
y(150 for B)=150(4.2)+90=720, choose B.
for d, set the two equal to each other
4.8x+42=4.2x+90
0.6x=48
x=80 magnets

if less than 80 magnets are ordered (fewer is the correct word).
