solve by addition method.
2x-6y=0
3x-7y=0
Multiply eq (i) by - 3 to get eq (iii), a new equation
Multiply eq (ii) by 2 to get eq (iv), another new equation
Add the 2 new equations (iii and iv) to get value of y
Substitute y-value into any of the 2 original equations to get the value of x
OR:
If you wish to continue using tHe same Addition method, then:
Multiply eq (i) by 7 to get eq (v), a new equation
Multiply eq (ii) by - 6 to get eq (vi), another new equation
Add the 2 new equations (v and vi) to get value of x
That's the NORMAL way to solve a system of equations. However, in the case of these 2 equations, it's OBVIOUS that both variables have the same value, 0.
