Determine the equation of the line that passes through the point (4,3) and is parallel to the line 3y - 15x = 2. Write answer in slope-intercept form.
Lets first put this equation in slope-intercept form;
3y-15x=2
3y=15x+2
y=5x+2/3
----------------------
Now we have the slope of the new equation = 5
so we use point-slope form to find b;
y-3=5(x-4)
y-3=5x-20
y=5x-17
