Question 1106107: For P=(5,2) and Q=(7,-11), Δx, Δy, and the slope of the line segment from P to Q. (use decimal value for fractional answer).Solve for Δx, Δy, and the slope.
Answer by ikleyn(52864)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
.
1. Δx is the difference of the first coordinates that are before the commas. Can you calculate it on your own ?

2. Δy is the difference of the second coordinates that are after the commas. Can you calculate it on your own ?

3. Finally, if you can do n.1 and n.2 (which I hope you can), you can calculate the ratio of Δy to Δx, which is the slope.

Do as many steps on your own as you can.

Then you can post your answer (or your step by step solution) to the forum, and we will check it.
