You did not describe your problem well enough. You have data points as ordered pair, plotted on cartesian system, as time in years (on the x-axis, one would guess) and price in dollars per gallon(for the y-axis). Can you draw a best line through the ordered pair points? DO IT!!!

Use your graph to find slope m and y-intercept b, and fill-in the equation form as y=mx+b. You read the y-intercept directly on the graph! You count vertical and horizontal change on your line and find the number for slope.
