What is the substitution and elemination of y= -2x-6 and 4x+2y=8? And also a graph of the answer?
---------------
If you mean, solve using substitution and elimination:
---
y= -2x-6
4x+2y=8
Sub for y in the 2nd eqn
4x+2y=8
2x + y = 4
2x + (-2x-6) = 4
-6 = 4
There's no solution.
If you graph the 2 equations you get parallel lines.
No intersection, no solution.
