use matrix to solve:
A working couple earned a total of $4352.The wife earned $64per day;the husband earned $8 less per day. Find the number of days worked if the total number of days worked by both was 72
Shouldn't this be, "Find the number of days worked by each person if the total number of days worked by both was 72?"
It appears so, but why should I try to decipher your math problem?
Anyway, if so, your equations are: W + H = 72 and 64W + 56H = 4,352
You may need to determine how I came up with these 2 equations and then solve them using matrices.
**Hint: One worked 40 days while the other worked ????? days. You figure out the rest.
