(8/x) - 8 = x/(2x-1)
:
multiply both sides of = by (2x-1)
:
(8/x)(2x-1) - 8(2x-1) = x
:
16 -8/x - 16x +8 = x
:
multiply both sides of = by x
:
16x -8 -16x^2 +8x = x^2
:
17x^2 -24x +8 = 0
:
use quadratic equation to solve
:
*******************************************************
x = (24 + square root(24^2 -4(17)(8))) / 2(17) = 0.8723
x = (24 - square root(24^2 -4(17)(8))) / 2(17) = 0.5395
