Question 1077166: For each function below, identify the Slope, Horizontal-intercept and Vertical-intercept
y=-5x+3
y=-2-8x
y=2x
y=1
x=8

Answer by Boreal(15235)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
y=-5x+3, slope is -5, y-intercept is 3, x-intercept is at (3/5), where y=0, (3/5, 0)
y=-8x-2, rewriting. Slope is -8, y-intercept is -2 (vertical), and x-intercept (horizontal) is at (-1/4,0)
y=2x, slope is 2. both intercepts are at the origin (0,0)
y=1, slope is 0, the y-intercept is at (0,1), there is no x-intercept.
x=8, slope is undefined, the y-intercept does not exist, the x-intercept is at (8,0)
--these are four; the x=8 is a vertical line.
