I changed your y's to x's because I don't know what you mean by f(y).
Domain: all Real Numbers because there is nothing in the equation
that would prevent x from having a particular value

Range: all Real Numbers for the same reason

2. f(x)=x^2-2x+1
f(x)= (x-1)^2
Vertex is at (1,0) the the parabola opens up.
Domain: all Real Numbers for the reason given above
Range: All Real numbers that are greater than of equal to zero
because the parabola goes up from (1,0)
