Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Use an equation to find the value of k so that a line that passes through the given points has a given slope:
(1,3). (5,k); slope 2
(k-3)/(5-1) = 2
k-3 = 4*2
k = 11
------------------------
(-2,k), (2,0); slope -1
(k-0)/(2--2) = -1
k/4 = -1
k = -4
