Question 1059369: The equation y=2/3x represents the cost y (in dollars) for x pounds of bananas.
Graph equation, use graph to estimate the cost of 8 pounds of bananas. Write in a sentence.
I don't understand??? Do I put in different values for x...like 2,4,6,8???
Use equation to find exact cost of 8 pounds of bananas.
y=2/3*8= 5.33

I assume your problem's equation is
:
y = (2/3) * x, also can be written as y = 2x/3
:
This is a line in the Cartesian plane that associates a real value x to a y value, each pair is a point (x, y) on the line.
:
I would choose x values 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, .... since the denominator is a 3
:
Here is the graph of y = 2x/3
:

:
From the graph it looks like the y value is (1/3) the distance between 5 and 6
:
y = (2*8) / 3 = 5.333333....
