Rewrite it putting one y on the left
2x+3y=-3
3y=-2x-3
divide by 3 both sides
y=(-2/3)x-1
The slope is the number in front of the x, or -2/3.

the standard slope-intercept form for an equation of a line is

where m is the slope and b the y-intercept.
|Solve 2x + 3y = -3 for y
y = (-2/3)x - 1
m = -2/3

There is the "y equals mx+b" form of a straight line:

where:
m = slope
b = y-intercept

So the strategy for this problem is to re-arrange what you are given into the above form.

So the slope is
