what is the slope and the y-intercept?
y= 3/4x + 8
------
When x = 0, y = (3/4)*0 + 8 = 8
8 is the y-intercept.
----------------------------
Slope::
Slope is the amount y changes when x changes by 1.
------
When x was 0, y was 8
When x = 1, y = (3/4) + 8
y increased by (3/4)
So, the slope is 3/4
---------
In general, if y = mx + b
m is the slope ; b is the y-intercept.

When the equation looks like:

= slope
= y-intercept
----------------------
In this case:
