"a boa constrictor is 18 inches long at birth and grows 8 inches per year. write an equation that represents the length y (in feet) band (?) of a boa constrictor that is x years old." my topic is writing and graphing linear equations.
-----------
It's 18 inches at birth.
Growth = x*8 inches
---
--> length = 18 + 8x inches
length = (18 + 8x)/12 feet
= (9 + 4x)/6 feet
---------
or = feet
