The cost of his uniforms is withheld from his earnings. Write an equation that models the total money he has m after h hours of work. What is the graph of the equation?

he earns 13 dollars an hour.
h = number of hours he works.
m = total money he has after working m hours.

formula would be:

m = 13h - 65

to graph this equation, m is on the y-axis and h is on the x-axis.

let y = m and x = h and the equation for graphing would be y = 13x - 65.

the graph would look like this:

the equation that was graphed is y = 13x + 65.

when x = 0, his money earned is -65 because he owes 65 dollars for the uniforms.

when x = 5, his total money earned is 0 because he has earned 13 * 5 = 65 dollars which was just enough to pay for the uniforms.

when x = 10, his total money earned is 65 dollars because he earned a total of 130 dollars and paid 65 for the uniforms learing him with a net earnings of 65.
