The graph of a linear function passes through the point (1.1, 3) and has a constant rate of change of 2.4.
Form:: y = mx + b
Solve for "b"::
3 = 2.4*1.1 + b
b = 3 - 2.64
b = 0.36
------
Equation:
y = 2.4x + 0.36
------
What is the value of y when x=1.6
f(1.6) = 2.4*1.6 + 0.36
f(1.6) = 4.2
