Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The perimeter of a rectangle is 24ft. It's length is five times its width. Let L be the length and W be the width. What is the area of the rectangle?
-------
Perimeter = 2(L + W)
L = 5W
--------
24 = 2(5W + W)
12 = 6W
Width = 2 ft
Length = 5W = 10 ft
