Question 1031710: If f(x) = -0.5x(2x+7)(x-4) what is the solution set of f(x)=0?
Thank you in advance.
Answer by Theo(13342) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
f(x) will be equal to 0 if:
(-.5x) = 0, or (2x+7) = 0, or (x-4) = 0
this will happen when:
x = 0, or x = -3.5, or x = 4.
here's the graph of your equation.
you can see that the graph crosses the x-axis at x = -3.5, x = 0, and x = 4.
that's when f(x) = 0.
in the graph, y is equal to f(x).
