Decide whether each pair of lines are parallel, perpendicular, or neither.
(1/3)y+(10/9)x = 1/3
(1/3)y = (-10/9)x + (1/3)
-----------------
slope = (-10/9)/(1/3) = -10/3
y-int = (1/3)/(1/3) = 1
---------------------------
and 10y-40=3x
10y = 3x + 40
-----
slope = 3/10 ; y-int = 4
-----
Ans: Since (-10/3)(3/10) = -1, the lines are perpendicular
