Hi there,
Gradient = y2 - y1/x2 - x1
Gradient = -1 - 8/4 - 1
Gradient = -9/3
Gradient = -3
Using line equation
y - b = m(x - a)
m = -3 (a, b) = (1, 8)
y - 8 = -3(x - 1)
y - 8 = -3x + 3
y = -3x + 3 + 8
y = -3x + 11
