Hi there,
Sort equation into y = mx + c form
2y-4x=-2
2y = 4x - 2
y = 2x - 1
Gradient (Slope) = 2
lines that are perpendicular to
one another have gradients (Slopes)
that multiply together to give -1.
m1 x m2 = -1
2 x m2 = -1
m2 = -1/2
Using line equation
y - b = m(x - a)
With m = -1/2
(a,b) = (-4,-3)
y - (-3) = -1/2(x -(-4))
y + 3 = -1/2(x + 4)
y + 3 = -1/2x - 2
y = -1/2x - 2 - 3
y = -1/2x - 5
Hope this helps :-)
