Consider the two points: A: (2,3) and B: (-1,-4)
A. Plot the two points on the x-y coordinate system
B. Find the distance between A and B
C. Find the midpoint between A and B

The distance is the square root of the sum of the squared distances between each pair.
sqrt((-1-2)^2+(-4-3)^2}=sqrt (9+49)=sqrt(58)
midpoint is the average of the x and y components. It is (2-1)/2, (3-4)/2 or ((1/2),-(1/2)
y-3=(7/3)(x-2)
y-3=(7x/3)-14/3
y=-(7/3)x-5/3
