He makes a 20% profit on oranges and a 15% profit on bananas. At the end of the day, all the fruit is sold out. His total profit is 390. Find the number of oranges purchased.

Let represent the number of oranges purchased, so must also represent the number of bananas purchased. 20% of 5 is 1, so he must have sold the oranges for 6 and 15% of 2 is 0.3, so he must have sold the bananas for 2.3.
