Question 1008046: If the equation (mx-3)(2x+4) is simplified to 24x^2+42x-12 how do I find thevalue of m??
Answer by fractalier(6550)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
For (mx-3)(2x+4) to equal 24x^2+42x-12,
2mx^2 has to equal 24x^2.
That means
2m = 24
m = 12
