Question 1002872: solve the simultaneous equations
3x-2y=12
x+3y=-7
Answer by mananth(16946) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3 x -2 y = 12 .............1
Total value
1 x + 3 y = -7 .............2
Eliminate y
multiply (1)by 3
Multiply (2) by 2
9 x -6 y = 36
2 x + 6 y = -14
Add the two equations
11 x = 22
/ 11
x = 2
plug value of x in (1)
3 x -2 y = 12
6 -2 y = 12
-2 y = 12 -6
-2 y = 6
y = -3
x= 2
y= -3
