Question 100241: What is the x- and y-intercepts of the equation of a line 4x+2y=3(y-x)+8?
Answer by edjones(8007) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
4x+2y=3(y-x)+8
4x+2y=3y-3x+8
subtract 3y and add 3x to each side: 4x+2y-3y+3x=8
7x-y=8
y intercept (when x=0):-y=8...y=-8...(0,-8)
x intercept (when y=0): 7x=8...x=8/7...(8/7,0)
