Question 499516: the directions say (a) Find PQ to the nearest tenth and (b) the coordinates of the midpoint of line PQ. I'm pretty sure this means (a) find the distance of PQ to the nearest tenth and (b) find the midpoint of line PQ
P(3,2), Q(6,6)
I used the distance formula and midpoint formula and got the answers (a) distance= 1 (b) midpoint= (2.5,6) but the teacher has the answers as (a) 5.0 (b) (4.5, 4).
I've gone over this numerous times and I am pretty sure I am using the formulas correctly, but could you show me how the teacher got the answers?
Thank you! - Sarah
