1) show that (4,4) is one the perpendicular bisector of the line segment joining (-2,12) and (4,-6).
2) find the value of K for which the line joining (2.1,3.3) and (K,-3.2) is parallel to the line joining (-1,-2) and (1,3).

What is the greater acceleration rate? A runner who can go from 0 m/s to 12 m/s in 10.0 seconds, or a runner who can go from 0 mi/h to 18 mi/h in 10.0 seconds?

all i know is that in an example in my book i had to subtract 8 and 7, then add 8 and 7, and something with an x. but I'm beyond confused.
