Find the value of p if the line joining the points (3, -6) and (p, 10) is perpendicular to the line 2x-5y=7 .
-------------
2x-5y=7 has a slope of 2/5
-----------------------
Slope of the two points is [10--6]/[p-3]= 16/(p-3)
That slope must equal -5/2.
EQUATION:
16/(p-3 = -5/2
p-3 = (-2/5)16
p-3 = -6.4
p = -3.4
