Hi there,
Make 2x^2 - 8x - 10 = -9x
= 2x^ + x - 10 = 0
= (2x + 5)(x - 2) = 0
2x + 5 = 0
2x = -5
x = -5/2
x - 2 = 0
x = 2
......
Substituting x = -5/2
into y = -9x
y = -9(-5/2)
y = 45/2
.........
Substituting x = 2
into y = -9x
y = -9(2)
y = -18
.........
Coordinates of the points of
intersection are:-
(-5/2, 45/2)
and
(2, -18)
Hope this helps :-)
