Segment Addition axiom.

The segment KH is the same as segment HK.
Length HJ+JK is equal to length HK.

KH, or HK is the whole line, it is 22.
HJ is x/4
JK is 3x-4
These last two must add to 22, since they together comprise the line.
(x/4)+(3x-4)=22
Multiply by 4 to clear fractions,
x+4(3x-4)=4(22)
Distribute
x+12x-16=88
13x=104
x=8
Check
8//4=2 That is HJ
24-4=20 That is JK
They add to 22.
