GIVEN 2 POINTS (-2,-5)(4,1) WE NEED TO FIND THE X & Y DISTANCES THUS:
X DISTANCE=4+2=6
Y DISTANCE=1+5=6
NOW WE HAVE THE 2 SIDES OF A RIGHT TRIANGLE.
USING THE PYTHAGOREAN THEORUM [A^2+B^2=C^2] WE GET THE VALUE C (HYPOTENUSE) OR DISTANCE BETWEEN THESE TWO POINTS:
6^2+6^2=C^2
36+36=C^2
72=C^2
C=SQRT72
C=8.48528 IS THE DISTANCE BETWEEN THESE 2 POINTS.
