The length of a rectangle is (2x-7) and the width is x. Find the length of the rectangle if the perimeter is 40 inches.
--------
Perimeter = 2(length + width)
----
40 = 2((2x-7)+x)
20 = 3x-7
3x = 27
x = 9 (width)
2x-7 = 2*9-7 = 11 (length)
