Question 460264: The length L of a spring is given by L = 3/8F + 19, where F is the applied force. What force F will produce a length, L = 34?

Answer by checkley79(3341)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
L = (3/8)F + 19
34=3F/8+19 SUBTRACT 19
3F/8=34-19
3F/8=15 CROSS MULTIPLY
3F=6*15
3F=80 DIVIDE BY 3
F=80/3
F=26.67 ANS.
