The slope of a line is simply the rise/run. The 'rise' is the change in y, and the 'run' is the change in x. We are given the two points A (-3,4) and B (5,8)
Therefore the slope, m, is:
m = (8 - 4)/(5 - -3) = 4/8 = 1/2
