rate = 800 km/h ; distance = x km ; time = x/800 hrs

D to L DATA:
rate = 1200 km/h ; distance = x km ; time = x/1200 hrs

Equation:
time - time = 1 hr
x/800 - x/1200 = 1
----
Multiply thru by 2400
3x - 2x = 2400
x = 2400 km (distance from L to D)
